Bottled at 46% ABV, non-chill filtered and natural in colour, Ardbeg Spectacular opens with a vibrant nose of lavender, vetiver, incense, and aromatic wood smoke. Deeper notes of leather, almonds, and damp peat reveal themselves with time, along with a cool menthol lift.
The palate delivers an impressive contrast: powerful peat smoke layered with eucalyptus, mint chocolate, smoked nuts, and a touch of tar and toffee. Beneath the boldness lies a soft, dessert-like core of pear crumble and caramel fudge, offering balance and depth.
The finish is long and evolving, leaving behind notes of salted caramel, cooling herbs, and that unmistakable Ardbeg smoke.
